This site is run by Grant Richardson, Financial Adviser, who gives advice under the Financial Advice Provider licence held by [FAP legal entity] (“I”, “me”). This page explains, in plain words, what I collect when you use the site and why.
What I collect
The check asks five general questions about your work, your income, any income protection you already have, and who depends on your income. Those answers stay on your device until you choose to send me your details.
If you ask me to call you, I collect your name, your mobile number, and your email address if you give one. I also record your answers so I know what to talk about when I ring.
The site also collects the usual technical information about your visit: the page you came from, your browser, and your IP address.
Why I collect it
- To call or text you about your income protection enquiry, which is what you asked for.
- To confirm your mobile number is real. A one-time code is sent by SMS before your details are accepted.
- To measure whether the advertising that brought you here is working.
Nothing on this site is an application for insurance, and no medical information is collected from it.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to stop contacting you. Email [email address] or text [021 000 0000]. If you are not happy with how I handle your information you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
